The Therapist’s Secret (Short Film)

The Therapist’s Secret is a psychological short film I produced, inspired by a true story involving a woman’s schizophrenic break that led to a tragic turn of events. While the original story took place in the United States, I reimagined it in a more universal and emotionally accessible format, allowing viewers to explore themes of mental health, generational trauma, and the hidden costs of silence through a new lens.

My role spanned the full creative and logistical process — from script development and sensitivity reviewing to directing the pacing for suspense and designing studio lighting setups to intensify the emotional tone. I also worked closely with the post-production team to shape the sound design, ensuring it reinforced the film’s psychological tension and quiet moments of vulnerability.

This short allowed me to showcase my skills in narrative adaptation, crafting complex stories from real-life inspiration and translating them into cinematic storytelling that feels both grounded and gripping. It was a powerful challenge and a proud moment in my development as a producer.
